The mission of the Winnetka Board is to mobilize our members to support the Northwestern Settlement by organizing fundraising events, giving generously of our time, and sharing our talents with the Northwestern Settlement’s programs.
The Winnetka Board’s annual fundraiser, Spotlight on the Settlement, is just one of the ways that we show our support. Each year, the Winnetka Board works together to plan, promote and execute our Spotlight on the Settlement fundraising event. Don’t worry, it’s not all work….we have plenty of fun along the way!
2024 Event: Annual Wine Tasting & Sale
On April 19th, 2024, we welcomed over 130 guests to our Uncorked! Stock-the-Cellar Event at the Glen View Club. The event raised over $37,000 to support construction of an outdoor classroom for the Rowe Elementary School operated by the Northwestern Settlement.
Friends of the Settlement Wine Tasting & Sale
On April 28th, 2023, we welcomed 150 guests to our Friends of the Settlement Wine Tasting & Sale at the Glen View Club. Thank you to all who attended, and special thanks to our sponsors, Fine Vines, Schaefer’s Wines, Foods & Spirits, Ballyhoo Hospitality, and George Trois Group. Through everyone’s generosity, we raised over $12,000 for the Settlement!
Our 2022 fundraiser, The Magic of Giving, was a great success!

2021 Fundraiser: Gala to Go
In this unusual year, the Winnetka Board offered a unique way for patrons to show their support. The Gala to Go boxes were hand-delivered and included interactive virtual activities, a silent auction, raffle and more. The campaign raised $115,000 for the Northwestern Settement.
2020 Fundraiser: The Magic of Giving
While the Covid-19 pandemic prevented the Winnetka Board from hosting this custom comedy night with Justin Willman, the board quickly pivoted and raised $70,000 for the Northwestern Settlement through corporate support and individual donations.
2019 Fundraiser: Big Laughs, Bright Futures
This successful event featured a custom produced comedy act by the cast of the acclaimed The Second City in Chicago. Held in the stunning backdrop of the Artifact Events space, the 2019 Winnetka Board annual fundraiser raised $290,000 for the Northwestern Settlement.
